On A Monday...Day 9: Mendocino to Bodega Bay

I knew from the forecast that it might be a tad misty early-doors and sure enough, there was reason enough to fanny around unnecessarily for another 20 minutes which accomplished squat, seeing as how the murk wouldn't clear for hours yet, hah-hah!
Drizzly nonsense. Who needs it?

Monday, Monday!
A bit OTT, no? A flower bed would've sufficed. It's not like we're talking Steven Seagal here.
Stating the obvious, extra care was taken going downhill, avoiding white lines for starters!
Come to California, they said...admire the views, they said!

I appear to have travelled to Scotland. Could be worse!

Love how these guys refer to last night's town, hah-hah!

Insano gradients of up to 14%. Yep, that was fun.

The sun is coming soon...honest.
Sure enough, by 10.28am the sun began to show its face- hello again! It just makes everything so much more pleasant, although I'll probably retract this in a few days if SoCal temps get ugly, hah-hah!
Hmmm, okay...

Dog wood. You can tell by the bark, ahem...

Just spied it on my way past. No idea what, who, why. You're welcome.

Seeing this made my day. I'm 48 you know.

There must be a fence but I definitely could not see it.
By now it was regulation blue skies and time for sun-tan lotion and down to one layer. Bon!
This US pair were riding from Portland to Santa Barbara. Good work!

After the drizzle etc., it was a case of 'also available in yellow'.
It would probably be stating the bleeding obvious (not that that usually stops me) that there was barely 10 feet of level road. Mind you, these views have to be paid for, right?
Doesn't get boring. Well, not for me at any rate!
And so it went all the way to tonight's stop in Bodega Bay, complete with ace dinner. So that's a win!
Just how strong are those barriers? Let's not try and find out, thanks.

This section was hairpin-tastic...splendid.

Okay brakes, anytime now...

Not much more. Alright, who applauded?

Literally just around the bend, hah-hah!
There remained one further delight- no, not the Tiramisu...
And no, not this nonsense either...

Aye, that'll do alright. Goodnight y'all!
Have a wild guess what's next: yep, if you can spare a little and want to help Bloodwise and The Royal British Legion then please click ON THIS BIT, thanks!

Strava loons can do one to this trough of despond!
